The old pneumatic flour conveying unit of the bakery Sehne worked perfectly, but had reached its capacity limit. The solution: An additional pneumatic conveying unit with new integrated weighing station was „inserted“ between the external silos and the previous weighing station. So, an especially economic-working new transport- and weighing concept was developed with clearly increased number of cycles.
Now the flour is no longer lead from the external silos to the old scales, but first of all via screening machines to the new ‚inserted’ weighing station with its two main scales. The conveying air for the following pneumatic transport of the weighed quantities of flour is generated by two new Aerzen Positive Displacement blowers DELTA BLOWER Generation 5. They can each convey 9.000 kilogrammes of flour per hour and work at constant speed and capacity. At present they are producing with an overpressure of 600 mbar, but can be run up to an overpressure of 1.000 mbar. The new concept, developed by Messrs. Georg Stein Process Equipment in Melle, leads to a considerable increase of the number of cycles in the weighing, so that the flour supply now meets the increased production requirements.
Developer Georg Stein appreciates the blowers made by Aerzener: „They are famous for their reliability and therefore they are first choice for plant manufacturers and operators. Towards my customers I am liable for the entire solution. Therefore I choose reliable suppliers only. From my experience of many years as far as Aerzener is concerned I am always sure.“Bakery-co-owner Gerd Sehne is more than satisfied with the result. „Since the commissioning the unit is running troublefree. It meets with our expectations completely.“
